Chief Richard Wierzbicki WMPD

We the undersigned residents of the City of Wilton Manors, Florida hereby demand that Chief Richard Wierzbicki be reinstated immediately to the position of Chief of Police of the City of Wilton Manors by the City Manager and the City Commissioners. We believe that he was forced into retirement because he refused to implement all the recommendations in a report by an out of state Consulting firm hired to attempt to evaluate the Wilton Manors Police Department. Chief Wierzbicki should be rehired as Police Chief and no further attempts should be made by our elected officials to discredit or destroy the dept. We also demand that every attempt be made by City officials to negotiate in good faith in the ongoing Police Contract negotiations and every effort should be taken to retain the experienced officers that are eligible for retirement under the current contract benefits.
