All those that sign this are apposed to Michigan's proposal to fine those who jump off of bridges/buoys/piers! These places are public property, funded by citizens tax money! It is also a violation of our rights as citizens! These are public grounds or are open to the public and the events that are partaken in on these grounds are protected by our rights as citizens of the state of Michigan. As for the piers they are owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. They allow for the public to enjoy these structures. Which are funded, and maintained by our tax money. Those who enjoy these structures should be allowed to do so at their own risk.
