The purpose of this petition is to show that the Command & Conquer: Renegade community is still alive, and is not quite demanding, but requesting respectfully the release, grant, transfer, or co-licensing of the Command & Conquer: Renegade Source Code and the Source Code for its Engine.
The benefits will include a greater player traffic, theoretically increasing profit for EA Games, and a better support for the continuation of Command & Conquer: Renegade.
The Source Code would be handled through volunteering; or supported without any wages or salary pay to the persons with stewardship over it. EA Games would benefit from this by being able to bring some further advertisements as the bugs and features in the Game and Engine Source Code are improved, fixed, and modernized.
In return, a ressurection of Command & Conquer: Renegade, would occur. By signing this petition, a position of support is shown.

Being an avid fan of APB, knowing that Renegade is no longer a sales generator for EA, I don't see the harm in releasing the source of the game. This could be a big public relations success for EA.
