Consumers unite against Mobilink

Mobilink is the largest Telecom service provider in Pakistan with more than 60\% market share. A high market share has resulted in absolute monopoly of Mobilink and it has been consistently exploiting its consumers in many ways.

Mobilink consumers have the record lowest consumer satisfaction rate and thousands of consumer complaints have already been registered with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in last few months. Mobilink service levels have deteroriated as soon as they started growing their customers in Pakistan. Unfortunately, its the poor consumers who have to suffer due to low service quality being offered by Mobilink. Almost 20\% of the calls made on Mobilink network don't get through in the first attempt and still the first minute call charges are billed to the consumer. There are many other service flaws for which consumers are billed.

With this petition, we demand the following:

1) Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) should instantly take over the Mobilink management from its current owners and a rigorous inquiry should be made to reveal the extent of losses incurred by millions of consumers across Pakistan.

2) Once the inquiry is complete, all the profit made by Mobilink in Pakistan in last few years should be returned to Mobilink consumers in Pakistan alongwith with a compensation for their sufferings. Mobilink has robbed this nation of millions of dollars amount of money and all that should be returned to consumers in the form of free calls, cash or call credit.

3) By the time this inquiry is complete, all Mobilink calls should be made free for existing consumers. They have already paid enough for the poor service and now its the time for Mobilink to pay for their poor service and the damage they have done to millions of consumers in Pakistan.

4) We also demand Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to share its current position on thousands of complaints recieved by Mobilink customers.
