Contre l'eugйnisme - Affaire TQS / Philippe Fehmiu

Nous, soussignйs, dйplorons la disproportion entre les sanctions а l'encontre des animateurs Doc. Mailloux et Phillipe Fehmi. L'un tardivement mais justement congйdiй pour propos racistes ; et l'autre injustement pour avoir osй dire qu'il ne pourrait travailler avec ce dernier, et que son employeur devra choisir entre eux. La dйcision de TQS, qui considиre que Fehmi dйfie son autoritй, aurait pu, au pire, se borner а une mesure disciplinaire interne et non son congйdiement. Elle perpйtue le malaise xйnophobe. Nous rйclamons de TQS sa rйintйgration immйdiate et sans condition.

We, the undersigned, condemn the gross imbalance between the sanctions imposed against hosts Dr. Mailloux and Phillipe Fehmiu. Dr. Mailloux was belatedly but justly dismissed for his racist statements; Mr. Fehmiu was unjustly dismissed for boldly stating that he could not work with Mailloux, and that his employer would have to choose between the two of them. Rather than dismissing him, TQS, which has accused Mr. Fehmiu of defying its authority, could, at worst, have taken internal disciplinary measures against him. Through its actions, TQS is perpetuating the xenophobia at the root of this affair. We demand that TQS immediately and unconditionally reinstate Mr. Fehmiu.
