Crying Teachers in Ontario

Why are teachers lucky? Because they cry for more and more..Do they realize they are the cream of the crop for a acquiring what most professional workers can't have? The standard 40hour week full time teacher: Typical work schedule involves, 2 30min breaks, and an hour for lunch, paid. Weekends off, no nights or evening shifts. 2 months off paid All major holidays off Sick time is rolled over..Vacation time uninterrupted. Benefits/Pension/Union They work 10months out of 12..Get paid for 12months. They graduate without writing a professional 2-3, or 4 day exam. Where other professionals of any licencing body is tortured writing exams. But yet they are allowed to practice teaching our children? Taxpayers: We pay school taxes for the year, when they only work for 10months? Why cant we only pay 10months of taxes to cover what they only work for? We need to find daycare for 2 months in the summer, therefore payout more $$ Summer vacations are high season, Instead of bring our kids to programs to enhance enrichment, our taxpaying dollars should be invested into bring more education towards our children. What teachers need is...this.... A new working schedule..Schools should operate for 12months.. Teachers should be teaching throughout the year, taking turns on vacation like other professionals. Students will be on vacation when there parents are on vacation. So if a parent is on vacation--the child can take vacation time with parents.. Teachers will rotate vacations as we all do. Vacations time is accrued as in every other professional body that endures the accrual vacation time. Teachers should be no different then the standard professional, like a policeman, fireman and health care professional. We all pay taxes to health and safety, education and services, they operate 24/7 and 365 days per year..Our taxes for education cover the yearly cost.. Our petition to is to include teachers into this equation. Once they realize they are part of the big pie with all the other professionals, they should be no different.. We petition for teachers, a public service to service the education systems 12 months a year, they get paid for 12 months why not? If you agree with this..pls sign.
