We would like ABC, NBC and CBS to stop treating its daytime viewers badly. We would like to realize that we are the same people who watch their primetime shows, which means we expect as high caliber of writing in daytime as goes into primetime. We want no more stupid gimmicks, plot devices, and inane stories. We want stories that move us, that enlighten us, that surprise us, that make us laugh, and that make us weak in the knees - instead of stories that are predictable, stupid, and boring, and make us want to throw our TV out the window. And while you're at it, start spending MORE money on the shows, not less. We want the best actors, the biggest stars, the best writers, along with location shoots, designer gowns, fresh flowers, and great camera work. In short, we want 1980's production values but with NEW STORIES and GOOD WRITING!! We want to watch daytime and have stories that are *at least* half as good as those on ER, Smallville, Ghost Whisperer, 24, and Brothers and Sisters. Stop recycling the same old boring triangles, baby-switches, shootings, etc. as we are so sick of them and can see them coming a mile away. Otherwise, you will just continue to lose viewers.
