Debate Respect and Fairness

This Petition is directed at the 2008 Presidential Candidates, in both the Republican and Democrat Parties: those who have officially announced their candidacy, and those who will in the future. It is a simple request that you, the crop from which the American people will choose their next President, have the courtesy and respect for your counterparts, to respect the time constraints during the debates. The American people do not wish to have a President whose idea of discussion or diplomacy is to speak louder and more frequently than anyone else at the table. Please, we encourage you to take this seriously, as it is a matter of having a fair campaign, and maintaining the respect of the people whose votes you will need in the coming months.
