Demand US and Swedish Govts to cancel defence deals with Pakistan

Since South Asian earthquake, in which more than 60,000 people died, Pakistan govt has been begging world to help it with 5 billions dollar. The unelected country ruler, Pervez Musharraf, has gone to the extent of accusing world community of racism, in his Nov 2 interview to BBC. To show that Pakistan govt has nothing in its capability, the govt has delayed its multi billion dollars F-16 deals with USA.

While this professional begging is going on, the govt just signed another multi billion dollar deal with Saab Surveillance System (Swedish company). The prextext is that this defence system would have helped it assess earthquake damage.

We ask the United State Govt and Swedish govts to intervene, and ask their companies to cancel these delas, ask Pakistan to spend its money on the earthquake victims.

In large context, we demand international community to deny developing countries all kinds of lethal and dangerous defence equipents, which ultimately cost in the worst situations in education and healthcare areas. In this case, Pakistan govt has allowed religous extremists to run religous eduaction centers (madrassas), citing its inability to educated children. The hatred and venom inspired in these madrassas, ultimately result in terrorist activities around the world. UN should demans developing countris to take care of Educatio needs of their citizens.

Please write to your representatives in Sweden and USA, and force them to cancel these defence deals.
