Network Solutions (netsol.com) registers every domain that a user searches for, even if the user doesn't purchase the domain. They then charge more money to purchase a domain that they already own. By signing this petition, you agree that this practice should be changed so that searched domains are not registered and are still available for purchase by other registrars.
In the extreme case that the whole internet used Network Solutions for searching, Network Solutions would own all new domains, turning themselves into a monopoly. We should not have to purchase a domain from Network Solutions if we used their search service to find the domain name.
