You are the head of an international agency that was set up as the world's Atoms for Peace organization to guarantee the rights of states to promote safe, secure and peaceful nuclear technologies.
As you know, in spite of Irans transparency and cooperation, the voluntary commitment to halt its peaceful nuclear program, and admitting unfettered IAEA inspections, it is more than two years that the Iranian nuclear file has remained open. In these circumstances, some countries, under the cover of the agency, try to deprive our country from its legitimate right of peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology that is fully in contrast to the NPT.
We the undersigned, whilst insisting on the inalienable right of deploying the peaceful nuclear energy, urge that it is unbecoming for the international agency of which you are the head, to legalize the unfair and political pressure of some countries to deprive Iran from its right. We can clearly foresee and you can be assured that if the agency were to take such a measure, the international community, especially the developing countries, would come to the conclusion of mistrust toward the International Atomic Energy Agency.
It is our sincere hope that these measures will never be taken.
