Ella Enchanted Movie

We, the undersigned, are petitioning against the use of 'Ella Enchanted' as the title to the upcoming Miramax film, Ella Enchanted. We, the undersigned, believe that its brings shame to the original material to regard the movie as based on the novel when it has such dramatic differences in character and plot. We, the undersigned, do not wish to stop the movie 'Ella Enchanted' but rather have it renamed so as not to be confused with the book, and take away from its glory as they are two very different works. We do not care if you simply rename the movie Enchanted Ella, or just Ella for that matter. We only wish that you do not use 'Ella Enchanted' as the title. The book is a bible in itself and it would be blasphemy to consider a movie such as the one Mirimax has in the making to be based on it when it has only a slight similarity. Another reason as to our want for a different title would be if a time comes when Ella Enchanted becomes a movie, that is fully based on the book, that film will be represented as such. Examples of Miramax' movie's differences from the book include:
-Change in characters. (Adding new ones, taking away some, changing others)
-The change of plot. (Vastly different from the novel)
-The singing. (Not in the book)
-The lacking of many important and well-liked chapters/scenes.
-Change in time period. (Leather pants, elevators, protests, malls)
Etc.
In conclusion, we, the undersigned, would be much obliged to Miramax if they could change the title of the film even if it is a slight change.
