Equalization Funding

Students in every California school district are expected to meet the same standards, yet not all school districts are funded equally. We believe in providing a level playing field for every child in California by providing equal funding for education. By signing this petition, we urge our state legislators not to cut $110 million in equalization funding from the State Budget and to distribute equalization dollars using the formula specified by AB 2178 (Simitian and Daucher).
