Who do we want to petition?
Canadians 18+ who support the legalization of euthanasia and assisted suicide in Canada.
What do we want you to do?
With every signature we obtain, we get one step closer to reaching our goals of having euthanasia and assisted suicide as an option for Canadians who are suffering with terminally ill diseases. In addition to you signing our petition we ask that you stay tuned for our up and coming informative video including public view interviews and appearances by Steven Fletcher, Member of Parliament for the Conservative party and Dr. Gregory Robinson, Board member of the Dying with Dignity association. Every signature counts and we appreciate each and every person who takes the time to sign.
Why is It so important?
When is enough, enough? Canadians are suppose to have a humanistic approach to the way we conduct ourselves in our daily lives. We recognize that modern medicine is groundbreaking and conducive in our survival, but when do we draw the line between keeping someone alive with machines and medication in a state of pain and discomfort as opposed to having the individual or loved ones take ownership of the life at stake and say goodbye on their own terms. Even family pets are treated with more compassion when it comes to the topic of dying with dignity. Nobody likes to discuss death even though it is an inevitable result for each and every one of us and coming to terms with this reality and planning appropriately is imperative in society today. This problem is going to worsen with time as the baby boomer population is aging , but its not too late to raise your voice and be heard . Please help us and sign our petition to legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia in Canada as well as share with anyone else you might know who feels passionately about this topic.
