Whereas the Greenbelt Act was passed by the Ontario Legislature in 2005 economically affecting all ownerships of properties in Ontario; and,
Whereas the Municipal Property Assessment caused financial changes to these properties; and,
Whereas the Ontario Legislature did not study the economic impact of the Greenbelt Act; and,
Whereas an effect of protecting environmentally contaminated land as a Greenbelt Area was not addressed financially.
Resolution # 1: The ordering of an Economic Impact Study on the Greenbelt Area that will further the protection of the green lands.
