Future NASA spacecraft named Enterprise

To the Adminstrators of the National Aeronautics and Space Adminstration,

We, the Undersigned, join together in our appreciation of the contributions of the space program and the forty-year legacy of the Star Trek franchise to ask you to consider repeating history. Thirty years ago next year, you named the first Space Shuttle Orbiter Enterprise, after Trek's starship U.S.S. Enterprise and, of course, in honor of the real-world ships that have proudly borne the name.

We come together again to ask that you consider naming one of your new fleet of spacecraft Enterprise. We know that NASA is still in the lengthy process of working on future spacecraft, and that recent difficulties with the shuttle program may delay future launches. Nonetheless, we ask that when there is a new fleet of ships ready to leap into the final frontier, that one of them bear the name Enterprise.
