Give iPod a Decent 44.1k Record Function

We, the undersigned, humbly request Apple stop wasting time with iPod photo and bring out a premium iPod product that does full bandwidth, stereo mic/line recording (an "iPod Pro") for musicians, media professionals and sound recordists.

Apple has a great product in iPod, but one feature has been sadly lacking since its inception - the ability to record CD quality audio. Professionals and dedicated amateurs alike need an affordable, easy to use, portable recorder for music, media and filmmaking.

Musicians, journalists and sound recordists the world over would love to have a work-related reason for buying an iPod, and being able to record at 44.1k (instead of lame, 3rd party, 8k, "telephone quality" add-ons) would give professionals and dedicated amateurs that reason.
