Glendorans AGAINST High Rise Buildings and High Density Living Projects

We, the citizens of Glendora, moved to this town for it's small-town atmosphere and are now concerned about the future direction of this city, specifically in terms of the upcoming projects promoting LARGE STRUCTURES, EXCESSIVE GROWTH and HIGH-DENSITY living:


1.) a 3 story mixed use structure with subterranean parking on Vermont Ave. west of the Village

2.) another 5 story mixed use structure at Glendora and Foothill, possibly with subterranean parking

3.) a recently approved 33' tall unprecedented high-density housing facility, with 35 units per acre, on already overburdened Gladstone at Bonnie Cove

4.) a massive housing development on Foothill & Bennett (the Rain Bird property)

5.) a 150 unit apartment complex planned for Route 66 at Forestdale

6.) ANOTHER 168 units in a 5-story condo/mixed use project at Route 66 and Glendora, with a separate 5 story parking structure

7.) MORE high density housing on Route 66 and infill residential development throughout the city anywhere zoning allows multiple units

THIS IS NOT why most of us moved to Glendora in the first place.

We urge you to downsize and rethink these projects in order to keep our Glendora as "the Pride of the Foothills"
