Harsher sentencing for violent sex offenders

In 2004, I was brutally raped in woodland by a man who had dragged me off the street. While trying to use a phone box, I was was approached by a man who had heard my friends using my name just moments before. He told me that he had heard my friends calling for me from the top of woodland. I didn't believe him, so he grabbed me from behind and dragged me onto a path that ran right through woodland. While I struggled with my attacker, I had my head smashed off a wall, and his fingers pushed down into my throat to stop my screaming. After hitting my head off the wall, I fell to the floor, pretending to be unconscious. This didn't stop the man from attacking me. Standing over me for a moment or two, I stared at his trainers, if he didn't kill me I knew that I would remember them. I was lifted off the floor by the man, pulled over a wall into the trees and thrown into the dirt. The most upsetting thing was that I could see the friends I had just left, they were in town but while I could see them, they couldn't see me. My attacker lay on top of me, just staring into my eyes, I was petrified. I was ordered to carry out a sex act on the man, I was just 14 and I didn't want to! I refused. The man threatened to kill me while he removed my clothing, and then his. I fought him the whole time, kicking him and trying to shout, but when I did, he would stop me from breathing by pushing his fingers down my throat. While he attempted to penetrate me, I stared hard into his eyes, squeezing my legs together tightly. I thought I had won, he stood up for a moment but then he ordered me to lay onto my stomach :'( This bit is the hardest to write about. He raped me (Buggery) The pain shot through my body, it felt like I had been stabbed in the stomach. Something stopped him, he looking behind him at the footpath where a man stood staring right at us. I thought this man was his friend, the two of them left together, or so I thought. Half naked in the dirt, I dialed 999, while a different man approached me with a blanket. I don't remember my conversation with this man, I was so confused, but he tried to keep me calm while the police arrived. For all that this man did to me, he received a 7 year jail sentence, and was told that he must serve 5. To a 16 year old, the news that he had been jailed for 7 years seemed like a great sentence. 7 years is nothing! Stephen Ainscow served just 4 years, as his time on bail was classed as a year already served in prison. Sentences for violent sex offenders are too lenient! Recently, a man from Bacup received 5 years and 4 months for the double rape of a young woman. This man will serve less than 3 years in jail for raping a young woman twice :O Is that the going rate for rape these days?
