Help Needed for Military Homeowners

I am sure that you can understand that the demand of military families in recent years has required a number of PCS moves and deployments. Many military members purchased homes, and for many reasons they are now struggling. Recently there have been countless programs to help struggling homeowners, but all of them require the home to be the primary residence. This requirement disqualifies military homeowners.

Many have tried relentlessly to modify their loans with lenders, but to no prevail. The SCRA does not apply to many of us because our homes were purchased after entering into the military. We have been told that we cannot refinance or modify because the home is not currently our primary residence. Due to military obligations, many military members are unable to live in their homes.
I am asking that military homeowners receive help. We have sacrificed so much for our country. Please consider a special homeowners assistance program that is designed specifically for military families who are temporarily displaced from their home. We are asking that military homeowners receive help in refinancing or modifying loans, and that an exception be granted waiving the primary residence requirement.
