To all fellow Jamaican's who were just beginning to feel proud of their country's national airline. Help stop the latest blow to the nation, Air Jamaica has recently signed a deal with Richard Branson, owner of Virgin Atlantic, to hand over it's London Heathrow > Kingston route, in an attempt to save money. Wouldn't it be more sensible for the national airline of Jamaica to simply reduce its amount of weekly flights into the UK capital? I can't see how the airline can be losing so much money on this route, when flights are always fully booked, even overbooked in some cases. This is a massive blow not only to Jamaica, but also to the Travel Agents who do business with the airline and to the thousands of British Jamaicans who have flow faithfully on Air Jamaica over the years. Some may say that this planned change does not matter, but it does, to us Jamaican's who are proud of our country! Air Jamaica is a symbol of our country, the feeling of returning home on the airline that flies the national flag an one of our country's natural species, the 'Hummingbird' and the name alone 'Air Jamaica', was it not a good feeling?
