Hey Axl: Give Pitman a solo!

We, the fans of multi-instrumentalist Chris Pitman, demand that he be given a solo during the Guns N' Roses live shows.

Pittman has loyally supported Axl though some very rough times in the band's career. He has never wavered. Meanwhile, a newcomer like Bumblefoot and disloyal NIN-touring partner Robin Finck are both granted lengthy solos to appease their numerous fans and allow Axl to take a breather. Even Dizzy Reed and Richard Fortus are given solos to cover David Bowie and Christina Aguilera songs.

These solos are the precious lifeblood of GnR, and have become highlights of the live show.

Considering how crucial Pitman is to defining the Guns n' Roses sound, we find it deplorable that he's relegated to the back corner of the stage and never given the opportunity to play a solo.

Any threat to boycott concerts or the Chinese Democracy album when it is released on one of the next ten Tuesdays, would be empty and transparent. Rather, the undersigned would like to encourage Axl Rose and his management to grant Pittman the same opportunity to speak to his fans that every other member of the band is allowed.
