Homeless Women and Children Housed in Unsavory Neighborhoods.

Homeless women and children of New York City are being housed in high crime areas. Several homeless shelters have become "co-ed", admitting single men and their children. This is a recipe for disaster, many of the male occupants have substance abuse issues and serious criminal records. Single men and their children have a right to shelter, but should be housed in separate locations. The decision to incorporate homeless men, women and children together reflects the disregard New York City has towards the poor.
