Improve the conditions of the animals or Barcelona Zoo

For the past five months I have been living in Barcelona and during this time I have visited Barcelona zoo several times. Although the general well being of the majority of the animals seems to be fine, I am rather concerned and would go as far as saying slightly appalled by the conditions of certain animals.
The first problem that I have is the living conditions of the rabbits in Pets Corner. The rabbits are kept in very small, basic and dirty metal cages. There is no bedding of any type and are therefore forced to lie on the bare metal. The cages are very small and the rabbits do not seem to have any sort of space where they can run and exercise. More disturbingly the cages are very dirty with many of the rabbits lying in their own faeces. There seems to be no food or water provided except for one cage which had some black, mouldy carrots. The guinea pigs are being kept in better conditions and are being provided with straw bedding and fresh food and water so I dont understand why the rabbits cant also be kept in a similar condition.
My other problem is the conditions of the panthers, lynxes and leopards. For such big cats these animals are, in my opinion, kept in extremely small cages which dont provide the space that they need.
I have already complained to Barcelona zoo and my aim for this petition is to gain as many signatures as I can and then forward it to Barcelona zoo with the hope that they will take some action to dramatically improve the conditions of these animals. I am also going to contact several animal charities about this matter.
