We the undersigned protest the appointment of Justin Chomintra, the author of the above comments as the Editor-In-Chief of the Rebel Yell, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas student newspaper. We call for his removal and for the Rebel Yell advisory board to follow the recommendation of the January 9th, 2004 Anti-Defamation League letter that states:
"We strongly urge the Rebel Yell advisory board to reconsider this student's continued involvement with the school newspaper. It is important for young adults to understand that hate speech is not acceptable, and that there are repercussions for hateful behavior"
