Dear Owen,
Interpol has been playing in San Diego every tour since they first released their debut album Turn On the Bright Lights. Their largest and most avidly devoted fan base is in Southern California, and we WILL travel anywhere to see them live. Distance and ticket prices are of no concern when it comes to seeing Interpol perform live. Theyve also performed in San Diego at festivals such as Back To Cool in 2005, and most recently at the Independence Jam in July 2007. However, their last real headlining event was at Soma during the Antics tour in February of 2005. We, the fans are anxiously awaiting the announcement of a headlining San Diego date for the Our Love To Admire tour. Many of us have traveled as far as the East Coast to be part of the live Interpol experience as there is nothing else compare. We have encountered West Coast fans as far as Indianapolis, IN and Raleigh, NC who felt there were not enough West Coast shows to satisfy the need for live Interpol. We know you are the only station in Southern California who actually supports the band since KROQ in Los Angeles refuses to play their new single, No I In Threesome. We appreciate the fact that you recommended the new album during the month of August and gave airplay to Rest My Chemistry although it was not released as a single. We, the pol fans respectfully request your assistance in securing a San Diego live date for the Our Love To Admire tour since tonight will be our last opportunity to witness a live performance in the States . We anxiously await your response, MasterCard in hand.
