ISLC New Yearbook Company

As students of International Studies Learning Center, we understand that we attend a growing and developing school. As the years have passed, the Yearbook Committee has worked hard to produce yearbooks that will hold memories of our school, friends, and experiences. Although we appreciate their work, we can no longer find their productions acceptable.
We, students of ISLC, demand a change in the yearbook publishing company currently being used. If a more classy company were to be used, the book prices would rise. We are willing to accept this in exchange for a worthy and professional yearbook. We believe that our yearbooks need a dramatic change.
For many of us, 2008-2009 will be our last year in high school. We find it necessary to use a new company in order to remember our last year in a more mature way. Previous yearbooks have been childish. They have also not been up to par with other high schools. As we turn the pages of our previous yearbooks, we wonder how our Senior Portraits will fit into such an elementary-style book. We have found that they cannot fit. We need a more professional, high school style yearbook.
A few yearbook publishing companies in California that you might consider include Josten, Jones Herff, Blue and Gold Yearbooks, or Larson Brothers. These are only a few California centered publishing companies. There is a larger variety of companies to switch to and we believe that with effort it is possible to find a worthy publisher.
We the undersigned pledge to not buy a copy of the 2008-2009 Yearbook if it is published by the same company or is published by an equal style company. We truly hope that you will find it in your hearts to take into consideration these signatures and change the company.
Thank you.
