We want to see a charge of 'Causing death by careless driving' introduced to fill the gap in current UK laws. At present, a negligent driver can only be charged with the lesser offence of 'Driving without due care and attention' or with the harder to prove 'Causing death by dangerous driving'
We would therefore like to see a law introduced which treats a road death caused by driver error as a homicide rather than the by-product of a piece of bad driving.
