Mr Kassam,

We as Oxford United supporters urge you to sell the club as a matter of urgency, as we believe your running of the club in recent years is the direct cause of the situation the club finds itself in now. After 44 proud years, we are now maybe weeks away from dropping out of the Football League.

The vast majority of supporters do appreciate and thank you for securing our status some 7 years. However, you cannot live on that forever and the way in which you have run the club over the subsequent years has been nothing short of disastrous, and is the reason we are in the mess we are in today.

You have been more than fairly rewarded for you initial saving of the club, by the subsequent riches you have gained out of the fact that you own Oxford United.

Not least the OxZone complex and Holiday Inn Express, you purchased the land at a reduced rate, with the Oxford City Council believing this would be of benefit to Oxford United. This has clearly not been the case and Oxford United it seems does not benefit financially from either of these establishments.

In addition, the fact the majority/all of the ncome from the Stadium does not go to Oxford United Football Club, for match-day and non match-day events. Was Oxford City Council ever aware of this during planning or at the negotiations for the land value?

You have told fans that Brian Talbot would be your last Manager, yet Brian Talbot has now left. Darren Patterson appointed, as the 14 Manager during your ownership of OUR football club. Something you said just weeks ago would not happen whilst you remained.

You were directly quoted in the Oxford Mail last week, saying that no firm bids had been received. The very next day, you issued an open letter to fans on the clubs official website, saying you had rejected all offers that were made and did not wish to sell. What is the truth Mr Kassam?

You have employed a Managing Director, who was then quoted as saying his day job is as a financial consultant to a vehicle company to Bristol Rovers Football Club. You did not tell us if his position is a paid one, or indeed if our new Managing Director is indeed full-time?

If you have the clubs best interests at heart, the please sell the club, you have now admitted offers are on the table.

No amount of spin will work this time, as far as support and confidence is concerned, your time is at an end and your position is irretrievable. You have now publicly lost the support of OxVox, and have for years treated them with little more than contempt and lip service at best. You have a near zero support amongst the Oxford United fans and it truly is time to sell up and move on.

You have made millions from OUR football club, please stop haggling for the best deal, and accept a fair price, and more importantly do what is right for OUR CLUB and walk away.
