This petition has been started to stop Southern California's KCal 9 from tape-delaying Laker games instead of showing them live, the way sport programs were meant to be viewed. There are many Laker fans out there in Southern California who would prefer to watch the game live, but can't due to the tape-delay. This has caused fans to tune in on the radio (where games can be heard live), tune in to a TV channel which shows live NBA scores, and/or forces them into watching the score rather than watching the game. This, in no way, is fair to us who support the Laker franchise and enjoy watching Laker games as they are being played. On top of that, KCal has a program block on NBA League Pass channels, so even though the games CAN be shown live to fans, KCal chooses to have it blocked so that we can watch it delayed on their channel. The Laker franchise is a big enough franchise to have the games televised live. Nowadays, there is TiVo, which allows people who have a busy scheduale to view the game delayed whenever they please AT THEIR OWN WILL. I would greatly appreciate it if someone at KCal would take their time and attempt to have their policy on Laker games changed. If you can't show the games live, at least take off the program block on channels which DO show the games live. Please, for the sake of the Laker fans. Thank you.
