It has come to the attention of fans of both series that Ash from the Evil Dead series is being considered to face Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees in Freddy vs. Jason II.
We ask that this idea is dismissed. Not only is it impossible for Ash, a human, to go toe to toe with two of the greatest superpowers of modern horror and survive logically, but the inclusion of Ash into the next Versus film would make it even more comical. Freddy vs. Jason I was too comical as it was, adding the one-line spouting Ash would turn it into a veritable spoof movie.
Please consider our case. Freddy vs. Jason was already damaged with the refusal to cast Kane Hodder, we fear this will absolutely destroy all three series involved.

I love Freddy, I love Jason and I love Ash. But putting Ash into F vs. J 2 would be a horrible idea! If Ash is EVER in another movie, then make an Evil Dead 4, don't put him in another series!
