The School Management has decided/is deciding to change the colour of the Boy's Pants and Shirt from White to Brown.Although Brown coordinates well with our school colour theme and matches with the Girls' Uniform, it will be unsightly. White symbolises Purity and portrays this sense of high standard not just to others but within the students themselves too.
Dunman has come a long way from being a neighbourhood to becoming a school that not just recognized as only a neighbourhood school but as top school in the East. Top schools in Singapore all have the white uniform, which creates an impression of being diligent. Brown on the other hand would simply make us look like any other Neighbourhood school as it is a down to earth colour.
It would be also sad to know that our tradition and uniqueness of being one of the only schools to have a different colour between the boys and girls would be broken if it is allowed to change. Fond memories of the white uniform would also be erased as former Dunmanites would find it harder to associate themselves with the school as the white school uniform is something that identified themselves as a Dunmanite.
We hope that the school management would reconsider their decision and keep the boys uniform White.

eww...my goodness! brown is like mud and people would look down on us man... and from what i know the school needs the face so whats the matter with them? isn't white cool enough? even i would feel downgraded just wearing brown..

Since the uniform has already been white for so long, why not just keep things the way it is?

As an ex-dunmanite, it's imperative to preserve the tradition of the boys wearing white. Still, minor changes can be made. Changing colour entirely would be a major change.

Why not change every level, instead of just changing the Sec 2s of 2005.
