For a long time, Kristen has been stuck going online via AOL, dial-up, 56k.
A whole ago, this was totally acceptable, and things posted online were designed for people with slow connections. However, that was then, and this is now. The internet has changed, and things are built for faster connections. It is just assumed that people are smart enough to realize that there are *BETTER* options than dial-up.
As a future Video Game designer, Kristen is finding it quite the crutch to be stuck on 56k, when all of the latest games are moving Online. She needs a better connection in order to stay in touch with friends, advance in her career dreams, and enjoy the pasttime she loves the most.
