Landen Chabino was 9 months old when his daycare provider set him on the floor for a nap. A long time elapsed before Cindy from "Aunt Cindy's Daycare" checked on him, and when she did check on him a bookcase was on top of him and he had already passed. There are many things that could have been done to prevent this. Cindy should have checked on him more often, should have bolted the bookcase to the floor or wall, Landen should have been in a porta-crib like the other 9 month old that was in the room. Why were there no monitors? The state says that all of these things are required at a day care facility but not at an at-home daycare. Why is this??? This was no accident, Cindy put a childs life in danger and now he is no longer with us. She should never be allowed the privilege to watch children again. Lets all get together and sign this petition to have Cindy's license revoked and to make it at requirement to have children in cribs, furniture bolted down and monitors in the room of sleeping or playing children. Thank you.
May you rest in peace Landen.
