We, the undersigned, are asking ABC Studios to release Legend of the Seeker: Season 1 on Blu-ray format.
The syndicated show is filmed in high definition, and to deprive the loyal fans of the chance to own the series in high definition is a tragedy.
The official statement is that "Blu-ray format will not be released until the cost of Blu-Ray comes down a bit. ABC is only releasing LOST in Blu-Ray television series format for right now. Prices expected to come down for Christmas/Winter Holidays", but the fact is Blu-ray format discs are dropping much faster than traditional DVD prices dropped.
The fact that the show is shot and shown in high definition means that the release in Blu-ray format is an easy task.
Research shows that consumers are converting to Blu-ray players at an exponential rate, therefore the release of Legend of the Seeker in Blu-ray will not only help profits but bring more viewers and fans to the series.
