Let Debra Medina into Belo Gubernatorial Debate

Whereas, a Democratic-Republic is dependent upon a citizenry well informed of the candidates and the candidate's platforms.

Whereas, such information can be obtained through a fair and impartial debate.

Whereas, Belo Corp. is planning to hold such a debate on January 29 of 2010.

Whereas, candidates Rick Perry and Kay Bailey Hutchison have been invited to participate in said debate.

Whereas, Debra Medina is also a candidate yet has NOT been invited to participate.

Whereas, KERA has seen the validity of Debra Medina's candidacy and allowed her to participate in their January 14 debate.

Therefore, we the undersigned, demand that Belo Corp. formally invite Debra Medina to participate in their January 29, 2010 gubernatorial debate.

If such invitation is not given, we the undersigned, pledge to boycott Belo Corp. and each of their affiliates in Texas and beyond.

This boycott will include, but not be limited to, the following actions:

Ending all subscriptions/never subscribing to the following publications:
Dallas Morning News
Denton-Record Chronicle
Al Dia
Quick

Boycotting all news casts and TV shows broadcast on the following stations:
KVUE Austin
WFAA Dallas/Ft Worth
TXCN Dallas/Ft Worth
KHOU Houston
KENS San Antonio
KCWX San Antonio

Boycotting all websites related to the previous affiliates.

Withdrawing any and all advertising held with such affiliates.
