Lewisham Hospital Out of Hours Catering Arrangements

As you are all aware there is no provision of hot food by Lewisham Hospital trust after 3pm as the canteen shuts and no provision of any food apart from crisps/snacks after 6pm as the cafe/shops shut.
I am of the opinion that this does not meet the minimum conditions that the BMA state should be provided for junior doctors as laid out in:
JDC GUIDANCE ON NEW STANDARDS FOR LIVING AND WORKING CONDITIONS FOR HOSPITAL DOCTORS IN TRAINING
In summary it states:
"Junior doctors on duty must be able to get good quality hot and cold food at any time.
If the canteen is closed, this should be through a supply of microwave meals, cold cabinet or a similar arrangement.
The inability to obtain hot food for any reason will result in failure to meet these minimum standards.
Canteen must be open and serving hot food for extended meal times for breakfast, lunch and dinner, wherever
possible with a minimum late opening until 11.00pm and a further two hour period after 11.00pm and before 7 am."
This petition is to ask the trust to at a minimum:
1)Open the canteen in the evening so that hot food is available for dinner
and ideally to:
2)Make provision for hot food to be available 24 hours a day (e.g ability to get microwave meals or equivalent)
