Living Wage Campaign For Bangladesh Garment Factory Workers
Sign Now
We the undersigned, members of the London School of Economics and Political Sciences Students Union and others, are absolutely appalled at the fact that Asdas George clothing range comes from death trap factories in Bangladesh. It is our belief that your corporation is not honouring the fundamental rights of Bangladeshi garment workers to an entitlement of a Living Wage of 22 per month.
We also believe that giving factory management prior notification of an audit is equivalent to throwing them a lifeline, which in turn means that your auditors will visit a window dressed factory, so that any candidate you interview will give answers that satisfy your criteria.
Therefore please respond to the letter attached with this petition. Failure to provide adequate answers may initiate a nationwide boycott of your products.
Yours Faithfully,
Members of the LSE Students Union and Others
