Mayor Apology required

We, the undersigned, are infuriated and amazed that the most senior local representative of the Southend borough, the Mayor Roger Weaver sees fit to be recently photographed in a Chelsea shirt when he should, as, an elected representative, promote the local club, Southend. This is particularly incredulous, as
a) he was given first option to sponsor Freddy Eastwood above a fan who had already been promised the option
b) he claims to support the Shrimpers and in his guise as Mayor has enjoyed hospitality from the club
c) his support over the coming months is crucial for supporter's morale, particularly in light of the applications for Fossetts Farm
We urge the Mayor to make a full apology and an assurance that at all times he will promote the Shrimpers, the local football team of his electors.
