Metal is Alive

This is a petition to show that the genre of Metal is NOT dying! True, its not the same as it used to be and it has crossed over into other genres, but its up to the fans to distinguish between what is and what is not metal. What a lot of people fail to realize is that the media exploits many bands as being metal just because a singer screams for a few lyrics or if the music is a little on the dark side. If metal were to be truly dying, then we as metalheads have lessened in numbers. Metal is more than just music, its a way of life. And that life, is still strong.
