Moomin for ESC 2007 hosts

Dear YLE and the organisers of ESC 2007,

Please consider choosing the Moomin as hosts of Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki. I feel as many others do, that the Moomin are the best representatives of the Finnish spirit and a lot of people can relate to them. In addition to that, they are known all over the world through books and cartoons, which is another reason to consider them.

There are many great musicians and media personalities in Finland and although they would make great hosts, the Moomin would be simply wonderful. I sincerely think that the sweet and good-natured Moomin would be a good choice for hosts. While it is true that their participation would be a bit unprecedented, I am certain that they would be well liked by both the audience and the viewers.

Finland brought upon quite change by winning with an entry that was very different from what winning entries have been expected to be like in the past. It seems natural that Helsikni 2007 will not be just another Eurovision Song Contest. It will be very special, especially if the Moomin are the hosts. I have no special preference about which characters they should be, because there is something very special about each of them. However, I would encourage signers of this petition to voice their suggestions.

By writing this, I kindly ask the deciding powers to at least consider the idea of the Moomin being the hosts of Eurovision Song Contest 2007.
