MSN Gaming Zone Restoration

We, the undersigned, urge and beg the Microsoft Network to do away with the new incarnation of the Zone. The new log-in method, which involves creating and logging into a .NET account is not only inconvenient and tedious, but for many it is impossible. The errors surrounding this new method are many - the pros, few.

We request that Micrsoft revert the Gaming Zone back to the conditions it was in roughly 6 months ago. For years on the Zone, a member was able to launch Zone Friends as an independant program, without it being necessary to ever actually go to the Zone. We ask for this feature to be restored.

Secondly, we ask for the old process of logging into the Zone be restored. This process simply involved typing in your log-in name and password.

During the time that this system was in operation, very few, if any, problems existed for players attempting to log-in and enter the Zone. The same cannot be said now. Complaints, gripes and comments of irritation are streaming in from players all over the Zone - some people not even being able to log-in and play on the Zone at all.

In the past, playing on the Zone was, if not an enjoyable experience, atleast an easy one. Now, however, the tedious and difficult log-in method hardly makes the Zone worth bothering with. For the sake of the Zone, and even moreso for the sake of the people worldwide who play on it, we urge for the new Zone log-in system be done away with, and Zone Friends be restored to an independant program that could be launched from the desktop.

While their may be advantages to the new system, the playere who are affected by it do not see them - and therefore, Microsoft has utterly failed in its attempt to make the Zone a more enjoyable place.

We, the undersigned of this petition, request and demand that the Zone and its log-in process be reverted to its old self.
