NASA to Reconsider Bombing the Moon

This is a petition to attempt to get NASA to reconsider their bombing of the moon.
NASA has sent a bomb to orbit the Earth, and on October 8th 2009, said bomb will be shot up to the moon to blow a chunk off. The matter will then be photographed to see if any ice or water vapour has come out with it.
As you know, the moon has complete and utter control over or water, and therefore taking anything away from it could be considered insanely dangerous.
If you would like them to check for water in other, safer ways, or would just like to protest their apparent thoughtlessness, please, sign here.
