Dear Mr. Stern,
It has come to our attention that the officiating in the NBA has reached an all time low competency level. The officiating has been scrutinized by the coaches, commentators, fans and now the players. It has reached a level where people are actually beginning to believe the league is "fixed". We implore you to remedy this situation before the integrity of the game is completely diminished.
We feel the most effective way to fix this problem would be to institute some sort of challenge system similar to the NFL's current system. By giving coaches 2 or 3 chances to challenge a suspect call per half, it keeps the integrity of the games high, as well as doesn't slow the game down too much.
Many of us think that basketball is the best sport in the world, but we feel that if the league continues to ignore the obvious flaws in the officiating, the legitimacy of the game will be irreparably damaged. Mr. Stern, please do not let this happen to the game we love. Do something now, before it's too late.
