Under the current law, 50/50 drawings are not permitted at liquor licensed establishments, NOR are 50/50 drawings a permitted game or raffle under a Small Games of Chance license. Because many non-profit organizations (including volunteer fire departments, high school sports, Little League, churches, and numerous other organizations) use 50/50 drawings to generate funding, it is important that this law be amended.
Please sign this petition and/or contact your local elected officials, asking them to assist in the change of the law for "Small Games of Chance Act under Title 61, Chapter 901." Elected officials include Edward Rendell (Governor), Catherine Baker Knoll (Lt. Governor), Rick Santorum (U.S. Senator), Arlen Specter (U.S. Senator), Bill Shuster (U.S. Congressman, 9th District), John P. Murtha (U.S. Congressman, 12th District), Richard A. Kasunic (State Senator, 32nd District), John Wozniak (State Senator, 35th District), Robert Bastian (State Representative, 69th District), and Thomas Yewcic (State Representative, 72nd District).
