Open Adoption Records in New Jersey

I Support Assembly Bill Number A2310 in New Jersey. Sponsored by Assemblyman Leroy J. Jones, Jr. and Richard Bagger.
We the people believe that it is the fundamental birthright to know our/their biological heritage and have equal access to our/their original birth records, whether it be the adoptee, natural parent, or adoptive parent.
We Urge Each And Every Memeber of the New Jersey State Government to:
1. Learn about the far-reaching effects of adoption on adoptees, natural parents, and adoptive parents for generations to come; and
2. Support more enlightened and fair legislation for legally opening of sealed adoption records; and
3. By sealing adoption records it in turn prevents an adult adoptee from knowing his or her medical, cultural, and religious history; and
4. Furthermore, results from a contract made between other parties in which the adoptee had no consent in the contract and at the legal age of majority, said contract should be abolished and rendered as null and void from that poiint forward and no longer be binding to any parties, including adoptees; and
5. That there is no moral, social, ethical, or legal justification for taking a person's fundamental right to their true and accurate birth records from totally innocent adoptees; and
6. That there is no legitimate delineation or denial of family relationships beyond custody and visitation. That the fundamental relationships created by nature or nature's God are inviolate and personal gifts of creation owned by each individual; and
"THAT I/WE DO FAVOR THE OPENIN OF ALL ADOPTION RECORDS!"
