Metaplace Inc. has recently decided that their product, Metaplace, is not a viable UGC commercial product. This is unfortunate news for all of us, as many users found Metaplace to be a great place to express their creative abilities, explore programming, and meet many great new people.
This petition proposes that Metaplace Inc. open sources the Metaplace platform so that users may continue to host Metaplace worlds and keep the spirit alive! If you would like to continue using Metaplace via an open source platform, or are interested in hosting your own Metaplace platform, please sign this petition! Hopefully with enough votes here Raph and the rest of Metaplace Inc. can see how much we want this platform to stay alive!
