Pardon to the political prisoners in Venezuela

To the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Lieutenant Colonel Hugo Chavez Frias.

Mr.President, by this petition, on behalf of every citizen of the world committed to the human rights, especially my fellow Venezuelan citizens, including both groups, your followers and those who do not support your cause; I venture to ask you, appealing to your great sense of justice and taking into account that you are personally transiting an unholy hour at this time; please take a brief moment out of your busy and now more committed schedule to reconsider the cases of citizens who are awaiting a verdict and have gone through endless processes in which the justice is not being implemented quickly and those that have already been sentenced for periods that surpass the remainder of their lives as useful citizens in our society, primarily because they are in opposition to your political ideas.

Some of them, as you well know, suffer from the same illness you are suffering from and they require particular care that definitely can not be provided while in detention, particularly in the precarious conditions of prisons in Venezuela, a fact that you are documented as well.

I have no doubt about your wisdom and humbleness to acknowledge this petition and know precisely that rectify is from wise men, in special because at your moment you were subjected from a presidential pardon that allowed you to continue your life and to become the leader who you are today.

That decision Mr. President, would earn the sympathy of many compatriots and would vindicate yourself as as the humanist you always claim to be.

Finally, I must thank you infinitely in the name of the people of Venezuela, in the name of the families of detainees and convicted, in behalf of myself and my family and for above all things; in the name of human rights in the world land.

Seсor Presidente, mediante la esta peticiуn y en nombre de todos los ciudadanos del mundo comprometidos con los derechos humanos, especialmente mis hermanos Venezolanos, sus seguidores y no seguidores, me atrevo a solicitar de usted apelando a su gran sentido de justicia y teniendo en cuenta la hora aciaga que personalmente usted estб atravesando en estos momentos, que por favor tome un breve espacio de su apretada y ahora mбs comprometida agenda para reconsiderar los casos de los ciudadanos que se encuentran en espera de sentencia y han atravesando por interminables procesos en los que la justicia no estб siendo aplicada con prontitud y aquellos a los que ya se han sentenciado por periodos que sobrepasan el resto de sus vidas como ciudadanos ъtiles a nuestra sociedad, primordialmente porque ellos no comparten sus mismos ideales polнticos.

Algunos de ellos, como bien conoce, padecen de la misma enfermedad que usted estб padeciendo y requieren de cuidados especiales que definitivamente no pueden ser suministrados estando en reclusiуn, sobre todo en la precarias condiciones de cбrceles de Venezuela, hecho del que tambiйn usted estб documentado.

Esa decisiуn, seсor Presidente, le harнa ganar la simpatнa de muchos compatriotas y lo reivindicarнa como el humanista que dice ser.
