People vs The Future

Growing up in the 80s we heard a lot of promises about you. During the 90s we heard even more as you approached. Now you are here, and I for one am pissed. What happened to flying cars, hover boards, flying shoes and teleporting? We realize teleportation is a bit of a stretch and may not ever be a reality, but dammit, all we wanted was a few common objects to get off the ground. Just look at all these science minded children whos hopes and dreams will be smashed just like ours were http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ngkids/9901/beyond-2000/digest2.html . The year 2000 we all said, youll see, in the year 2000 it will all changebut we didnt get shit, we got Y2Kand even that didnt happen like you said it would. We dont know who exactly is in charge of this outfit but we want answers. I thought hyper-color shirts were a pretty damn good start, but how come that technology hasnt advanced any further; Hyper-cars, Hyper-shoes, Hyper-beer cansjust one of those, thats all we ask. So we the undersigned want what we were promisedinventions. And even if this petition doesnt get you, the future, to fix your past, than at least give us back some good cartoons.
