Permit to Disturb Sensitive Natural Areas for Construction of Indoor Tennis Pavilion by 151 Sarles Street

A preliminary filing of application indicates that the indoor tennis structure will occupy 8,700 sq. ft. and be over 34 feet high. Additionally, the construction will require movement of land and soil as well as the blasting and removal of ledge rock. This has potential adverse effect on storm water run off both to Mt Kisco Chase property and also to Byram Lake water shed area and reservoir. Additionally, there is a need to study the environmental impact on soil and water within the Conservation Zoning District.
We respectfully request that you reject this application as it would be an intrusion and variance into land use that obviously has no public safety or health benefits and does not constitute a persuasive rationale to disturb sensitive natural areas.
